Pastor Elect Jeremy K. Moseley

Our Pastor

On April 29, 2018 under the direction of the Holy Spirit, the congregation of The New Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church extended the call to Rev. Jeremy K. Moseley to serve as our pastor.  


Jeremy Kenneth Moseley, I. was born on October 9, 1989 to, Reverend Dr. Kenneth Moseley and Ms. Clarice Johnson. As a child growing up he was nurtured in the things of God, in the church, and in his Christian religious beliefs which has catapulted him in a never ending pursuit of a daily renewed and restored relationship with his redeemer, Jesus Christ.

On May 16, 2004, Rev. Moseley preached    his    first   sermon    entitled, “Lessons from the Potter’s House” from Jeremiah 18:1-6 at the Bethel Temple Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan. He served there as the Youth Pastor for 3 years under the Leadership of his Father in Ministry, Rev. Damon M. Moseley. He currently serves as Co-Pastor of The New Mount Vernon Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of his Pastor and Mentor, Dr. James E. Flakes. 

Rev. Moseley is a 2007 graduate of the Detroit School of Arts where he studied Vocal Performance. He has matriculated at Henry Ford Community College and Wayne County Community College majoring in Business Administration. He currently matriculates in the Bachelor of Science Degree program at the Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia majoring in Biblical Studies. 

Rev. Moseley is a member of the United Missions District Baptist Association, the Baptist, Missionary, & Educational Convention of Michigan, and the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A. Inc.

Rev. Moseley resides in Detroit, Michigan with his childhood sweetheart and wife, Mrs. Britany Nicole Moseley and their son, Jeremy Kenneth Moseley, II and daughter, Bailee Nicole Moseley.
