Our Pastor

Pastor Jeremy K. Moseley

On April 29, 2018 following the direction of the Holy Spirit, the congregation of The New Mt. Vernon Missionary Baptist Church extended the call to Rev. Jeremy K. Moseley to serve as our pastor.  

Jeremy Kenneth Moseley, I. was born on October 9, 1989 to, Reverend Dr. Kenneth Moseley and Ms. Clarice Johnson. As a child growing up he was nurtured in the things of God, in the church, and in his Christian religious beliefs which has catapulted him in a never ending pursuit of a daily renewed and restored relationship with his redeemer, Jesus Christ.

On May 16, 2004, Rev. Moseley preached    his    first   sermon    entitled, “Lessons from the Potter’s House” from Jeremiah 18:1-6 at the Bethel Temple Baptist Church, Detroit, Michigan. He served there as the Youth Pastor for 3 years under the Leadership of his Father in Ministry, Rev. Damon M. Moseley.  

Rev. Moseley is a 2007 graduate of the Detroit School of Arts where he studied Vocal Performance. He has matriculated at Henry Ford Community College and Wayne County Community College majoring in Business Administration. He currently matriculates in the Bachelor of Science Degree program at the Andersonville Theological Seminary in Camilla, Georgia majoring in Biblical Studies. 

October 8, 2018, Rev. Moseley was elected to serve as Presiding Interim Pastor at New Mt. Vernon. During his time as Presiding Interim Pastor, the church saw increases in membership, finances, morale and the free flow of the Holy Spirit returned to our worship experiences and Bible Study periods.  The church began forward movement in the work of the Lord, by the power of the Holy Spirit. 

Rev. Moseley is 2nd Vice Moderator of the United Mission District Baptist Association, a member the Baptist, Missionary, & Educational Convention of Michigan, and the National Baptist Convention, U.S.A. Inc.

Rev. Moseley resides in Detroit, Michigan with his childhood sweetheart and wife, Mrs. Britany Nicole Moseley and their son, Jeremy Kenneth Moseley, II and daughter, Bailee Nicole Moseley.
