Soul-Winning is the special service for which every believer in Christ has been anointed. Sharing the witness of our faith in Christ is a privilege and expression of our faith in the veracity and Lordship of Christ. As our Savior commanded, "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me ..." Acts 1:8 We are a people committed to the call of evangelism. Like Jeremiah, the witness of Christ is like fire burning within us, and we are compelled to proclaim the saving message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ that all might believe, (John 3:16-18), receive Him (John 1:12) and become members of the Kingdom. "...he that winneth souls is wise." Proverbs 11:30
"...Follow Me and I will make you fishers of men." Jesus in Matthew 4:19

The Ministry of the Word
Faith is the Victory "So then faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the Word of God." Romans 10:17
Herein lies the crux of salvation - FAITH IN THE WORD OF GOD. Whether the Word is INCARNATE, Jesus Christ (John 1:14) or INSCRIPTURATED, the Holy Bible (Revelation 22:18,19), sinners must through FAITH, accept the Word of God in order to receive salvation. You see, the Word of God is man's only hope. In God's Word there is salvation for the lost and instruction for those who have experienced the saving power of God through Jesus Christ.
God's written Word tells us that Jesus Christ, the only begotten Son of God, the Word made flesh, was born of a virgin in Bethlehem of Judea. We are told that during His earthly ministry, Jesus preached many sermons, taught many lessons, worked many miracles of healing the sick and restoring the dead to life, His great and wondrous work made many enemies for Him. He rebuked the scribes , Sadducees and Pharisees for their ritualistic religious customs and traditions and for their self-righteousness. One of His disciples, Judas Iscariot, betrayed Jesus to the chief priests.
Jesus was arrested, falsely accused, unjustly tried, spat on, beaten, mocked, crowned with a crown platted with 72 thorns and condemned to die the death of crucifixion. Before His death, He let it be known that no man could take His life, but because of love for humanity, He would lay it down. On the cross of Calvary, at the top of Golgotha, Jesus gave His hands to the nails. He gave His side to the spear. He gave His feet to the rivets. Jesus gave His life a ransom for many, and He died on the cross, shedding His precious blood that man might be redeemed from the penalty of sin and reconciled to god the Father.
And, as He promised, on the Third Day, Jesus rose from the dead with all power in heaven and earth in His hand, Forty days after His triumphant resurrection, Jesus departed fro Mt. Olive on a cloud, and is now seated on the right hand of God the Father, as man's Advocate, Mediator with the Father. As He left, it was proclaimed that He would return to earth again, and according to Christ's prophecies in the Bible, He is soon to return. Fairytale???? NO! THIS IS THE WORD OF GOD! And, because we know that one of God's attributes is Veracity or Truth, we know that His Word is truth (John 17:17)!
It is God's will that none should be lost. Likewise, as God's children, it is our desire to see every lost soul saved by grace through their faith in Christ, before it is too late. Receive the Word and you, too, can be saved.
